Email hello@ais-con.com. Include your device, operating system version, Smallnote version, and the steps that led to the problem. Remove private information from screenshots and attachments.
Start with a page
Open the cover and tap a free spot to type. Turn pages with a swipe, or create a new page using the notebook controls. Use the Notebooks shelf to create and switch between books; each book can have its own appearance.
Make it yours
In Settings, choose your cover, paper, ink and typeface. You can also capture your own handwriting for use inside Smallnote. This does not install or export a system font.
Draw, decorate and share
Use drawing mode to sketch with your finger, or Apple Pencil on compatible hardware. The page menu offers photos, stickers, tape and sharing. Choose “Send as Letter” to share a styled image or PDF. The recipient and destination are chosen in the system share sheet.
iCloud sync
Sync is optional. Enable it in Smallnote Settings and use the same Apple Account on your devices. Check your internet connection, iCloud availability and free storage if changes do not appear. Settings shows sync status. Turning sync off stops syncing and keeps the local copy; it does not erase existing cloud copies.
Locked notebooks and pages
Smallnote uses your device’s authentication, including Face ID or its passcode fallback where available. Private contents are hidden from the app’s search and widgets while locked. Keep a device passcode configured.
Torn-out pages
Look in “Torn Out” to restore a page within 30 days. Copies that you exported or shared are separate and must be managed at their destination.
Widgets, Shortcuts and Apple Watch
Add a Smallnote widget from your Home Screen’s widget gallery. Search for Smallnote in Shortcuts for Add Note and Open Notebook. The companion Watch app queues text notes for delivery to the paired iPhone; transfer may wait until the devices can communicate.
Privacy and deletion
Smallnote has no separate user account to delete. Manage notebooks and pages in the app, and review iCloud storage and device backups separately. See the privacy policy and data controls.
